Background
The Toatt Mine, is a city built around a gigantic mine. Books are dug out using heavy machinery. The books which are dug out are sent to The Bantorra Library where they are sorted and stored.
Climate
The burning of coal covers the place with dark clouds of smoke and soot creating an oppressive atmosphere. The soot also makes it difficult to breath. Because of its location in the interior of the country, storms are very rare with the last one striking over a 1000 years ago.
City Structure
The city and the mine are in a large and deep crater. The mine itself is in the center of the city.The mine is a giant shaft supported by 4 pillars which span from the edge of the crater. The central mine shaft is surrounded by high circular walls.
Rail tracks extend all along the city roads making it easier for workers shift the books in wagons.
